Our beginnings.

Western Iowa Dairy Alliance was formed in 2007 to support local dairy farmers coming together to support each other in Western Iowa's agricultural scene. Over time, it became an important organization that helped dairy producers unite and address common issues, along with a community for dairymen.

Looking ahead, we are optimistic about the future. We envision a landscape where collaboration and mutual support are even more prevalent. With a shared commitment to innovation and a strong desire to grow as an organization, we aim to forge stronger bonds within the dairy community.

By working together, we aspire to overcome challenges, embrace new technologies, and ensure a prosperous future for generations to come. We look forward to what the future will bring here in western Iowa.

What we’ve done

In the year 2015, dairy farmers faced a critical shortage of workers annually. People in our communities were largely unwilling to engage in the demanding activities, and guest worker programs struggled to meet market demands. This situation resulted in our farms being less competitive with foreign counterparts and less reliable for American consumers. Securing a reliable and competent workforce for our nation's farms was deemed essential for the agriculture sector and the U.S. economy as a whole.
