Our Scholarship

WIDA strives to develop the next generation of dairy leaders.  One of the ways we do this is through our scholarship program.  WIDA is proud to offer up to three, $1000 scholarships.  Eligible applicants should be pursuing further education in an agricultural related field. While applicants are not required to have a family member apart of WIDA, this will be noted during the selection process.

When does the scholarship window open?

The scholarship application window opens November 1 and closes January 15. The recipients of the scholarship will be announced and awarded at the annual Banquet at the end of January.

What are the scholarship requirements?

-Must be a high school senior or current college student going into an agricultural career field

-Your application (essay answers to 4 questions)

-Copy of your current transcript

-Resume

-Two letters of recommendation 

How do I receive my $1,000?

1. Enrollment Confirmation

   Before disbursing the scholarship funds, we require confirmation of your enrollment in the institution of your choosing for the upcoming academic term. Please provide official documentation, such as an acceptance letter or enrollment verification to our scholarship committee by December 15.

   2. Copy of your Fall Transcript

   Submit your fall transcript by December 15.

As soon as we have the two above items, we will mail you your $1,000 scholarship. If we do not have these two items by December 15, we regretfully won’t be able to award you your scholarship.
